Triway GenYES
There are many aspects to the Triway GenYES program, and the main one is helping students and staff with any technology-related troubles. You don't just join GenYES to teach and help others, you can also learn some things yourself.
Here's our general plan for what will be at each table:
Table 1: Various devices taken apart in order to demonstrate what each part of a computer does, how they can break, and how we can fix them.
Table 2: To show the aspects of creativity in our program, we will have a couple computers running Photoshop, both to show what we've been able to create with it, and also to encourage visitors to create their own masterpieces with the tool. Another aspect of this creativity is the developer team. We will show the working prototype of our self-created GenYES website and the code behind it.
Table 3: A cluster of about four old computer motherboards stacked on top of each other in a shelf, working together to simulate the folding of protein, with a visualization of the process shown on a monitor. Many small things working together can create something big.
