Rounding out our makers who participated in Maker Faire Wayne County is Jennifer, a professional blacksmith.  Join an amateur smith in rediscovering the old-fashioned art and craft of forging steel. Small items like s-hooks and nails will be hands-on projects for attendees to help make and take home with them. Learn the basics about coal forges, and discover the traditional tools and history of blacksmiths, bladesmiths, farriers and more.

Jennifer is a United Methodist minister who has many hobbies, among them are the circus arts, mermaiding, and (the hobby being showcased at this maker faire) smithing. She is married to her husband Lance, and they enjoy gaming (board, tabletop and card) as well as anime, science fiction and fantasy conventions.
